One of my passions in life is helping sick people get well. It is very rewarding to know that you have helped someone achieve a higher level of well being.

I like to Help People

Graduating from Upper Iowa University in 1968, Uncle Sam wanted me for military service so I spent six years as a Naval Flight Officer. Honorably discharged from the Navy in 1974, I needed a career. My mother suggested that I go to chiropractic school since I liked to help people. Now and then you just have to trust your MOTHER.

My Chiropractic Education

Living in Iowa it was natural for me to go to the fountain head of chiropractic “Palmer College of Chiropractic” in Davenport, Iowa. With a mandatory sentence of military duty awaiting for me upon graduation I wasn’t inspired to put my best foot forward, so needless to say I didn’t graduate with any honors. Frankly I was just darn lucky to graduate. Six years older with a family gave me plenty of motive to do better. I graduated from Palmer Chiropractic College with a magnum cul laude.

On a Personal Note

In 2003 I lost my wife of 35 years to cancer after a five year battle. We had two daughters who have followed in my footsteps. They are practicing chiropractors in Raleigh and work together at my oldest daughters office at Gray Family Chiropractic. They both are happily married and have a son and daughter giving me a total of four “wonderful” grandchildren. In 2006 I remarried and now have 3 stepsons and another granddaughter and grandson who live here in Wilson.
